WLP540

Species : Ale
Fermentation Temp Range (°F) : 66-72
Apparent Attenuation Range (%) : 74-82
Flocculation : Medium
Alcohol Tolerance : High 10-15%

Pitching/Fermentation : Conditions beer very fast. Clean at the low end, and supposedly is pretty fruity at the warm end. Vigorous fermenter.

Notes : An authentic Trappist style yeast. Use for Belgian style ales, dubbels, tripels, and specialty beers. Fruit character is medium, in between White Labs 500 (high) and White Labs 530 (low). Less estery and more subtle for Belgian strain
