Good Pale Ale, but....
This is a very well balanced, and smooth beer/recipe. Everyone that has tried this, loved it; We will surely blow through this keg quickly. There's just one problem, it does not taste like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

This beer kicks ass! Got the LMM used the dry yeast that came with it, still kicks ass! Dry hopped for 9 days to get the pineyness (I like it that way). Over all this beer turned out so good it encouraged me to try and create my own 90 min IPA (BIG beer). Got it in the fermentor last night with an OG of 1.080 all because this Sierra Nevada clone was so damn good!

Brewed this as a request from a friend to take to the Texas Mile. I was worried because the beer only had 3 weeks in the bottle. It was a big hit. Tasted awesome! Looks like I will be making this one again!

Just cracked open a bottle of my second batch of this kit. Again, it is a DELICIOUS brew!! As my process is improving, so are the beers. Color was improved (lightened) this time by boiling half of the LME for only 15 minutes. I can NOT tell the difference between this batch and a SN Pale in a side by side. Wonderful!!!

Great clone of SNPA. Had great flavor with plenty of hops. Will definitely brew this again.

This beer is DELICIOUS!!! Won't last long in our house!!! (Brewed the mini-mash, LME version) Did a side by side taste with Sierra Nevada's product. Except for that the kit's color was a tiny bit darker, we could not taste a difference. I've reordered this kit and will try adding half of the LME later in the boil to try to nail the color. Thanks AHS!!! I'll be drinking LOTS of this over the summer!

Nailed it! definitely would agree that this kit is spot on with the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, especially using extract. did 7 days primary + wyeast american ale (added EtOH boost at brewing), 2 weeks secondary (definitely make sure you dry hop - if you dont like the hop flavor in beer, choose another kit), 2 weeks aged in bottle and it is very tasty. Clean crisp beer with citrus aroma hops, appropriately bittered, and a light bodied base. The hop after taste in this kit definitely strikes the same tone as the real beer. plus this is a great pale ale that pushes the limits of amount of hops for a great price. If I were to be picky, it has a little bit more malt taste, not quite as clear (color is spot on), and not as much head formation as the original, but then again I used extract and there is still plenty of time to age. I would hands down brew this again and would not change a thing with the recipe. again, excellent.

First batch on my new all grain system. Vigorous fermentation from yeast starter. Side by side with a Sierra Pale Ale out of the bottle there was not a big enough difference to give a damn. Same aroma, head, color and flavor. Close to spot on. Mine was less clear than the real deal but that was my fault not the recipe. If you want 5 gallons of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale this is your kit! Done!
