Almost too powerful!
I have been homebrewing for about 2 years now, always partial mash or extract, due to the fact I lived in an apartment and didn't have storage for everything, nor was I allowed to have an outside burner (my stove was gas). I just bought my house with an electric stove, and it was horrible. But this burner is AMAZING. I got 3 gallons of water to 160* in about 10 minutes, then after adding extract it got back to full boil in about 5 minutes. The only problem is it is SO powerful, it's hard to dial it in for the correct full boil.
Are you boiling all grain, in an 8+ gallon pot? Get it.
Are you boiling an extract in ~5 gallon pot? Go for something smaller. Or get this and go all grain.
