The first time we brewed it we put it in a brewing contest and won 2nd place.

Great beer

I never had the original beer to compare but I really like this beer. My uncle's favorite beer is a caramel porter so I tried this kit as a Christmas gift for him. Fermentation was done in 10 days using Nottingham (next time I'm trying 1099). After 3 weeks in the bottle i gifted him a case and he loved it. He likes it better than saranac that he normally gets..hopefully it gets better with age. I will brew this one again.
