Limited Release Eclipse Bourbon Barrel Zin-Cab

This Limited Release Bourbon Barrel Zin-Cab, grown in the luscious hills of Dry Creek Valley in California, is a truly unique experience. A robust blend of cabernet and zinfandel, the true star of this bold red wine is the addition of oak strips straight from genuine Kentucky bourbon barrels. The aroma boasts a delicate toasty note that transitions to strong jammy flavors of blackberry, cherry and plum. The bourbon makes its presence know in the finish, with its nuanced flavors of toasted vanilla, spice, and a subtle hint of caramel providing a luxuriously long and smooth finish. Food pairings: with its bold flavor, it will complement almost any meal, but simpler entries allow this beautiful wine to take the forefront. Try it with a casual gourmet burgers (try topping it with roasted tomatoes, red peppers and caramelized onions!) or step it up with a well marbled grilled steak with sauteed mushrooms.

Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma, California has well-drained rich volcanic soil with long growing seasons, lots of sunshine, and cool coastal breezes. This climate and this soil creates grapes of a powerful and unique intensity, such as their world renowned Zinfandels. Blocks of old-vines, some even having survived the cull of prohibition, still in the fertile soil and ideal growing conditions.
