LHBS is an hour away. Looking pretty good right now

Apparently, cornering the market on internet homebrewing supplies is not as simple as it seems. Order took a long time to ship. Arrived in less than optimum condition. Grains barely milled if at all. Yeast hot. No mill, so had to try and brew it as it came. Mash efficiency with kit was abnormally low. Missed OG by 24 points. The only saving grace was customer support. When things go wrong, a swift response and refund is the best you can hope for. Raised my review rating from 1 to 3. Falling back to dry yeast and extract in online orders for now. Hoping the dust settles and things get back to normal soon. AHS Brit clones have always been excellent. Maybe this weak attempt will be drinkable.

A bit more research guys...

About to finish fermenting another beer with the Timothy Taylor yeast (Wyeast 1469), I decided in a rush to put a TT clone on the yeast cake and bought the all-grain kit of Landlord. Upon reading the instructions, I realized that AHS does not provide the traditional Golden Promise malt but a cheaper substitute. C'mon guys, you carry Golden Promise, do not be cheap (I would pay $1-2 more if needed but do it right). On top of this, AHS does not even recommend the TT yeast (which they presently have in stock). This may turn out to be a great beer, but a Landlord clone..., not likely. -updated the yeast option and recipe design. Thank you for the input. (AHS)

Perfect Clone

My future son-in-law who lives in England was coming to visit and my daughter said this was his favorite beer. I bought the kit and put it on draft for when he arrived. On his first taste his eyes brighten and he immediately identified it as Landlord Strong Pale Ale. I also found it to be a very drinkable beer much like a low alcohol IPA.
