This starter set will make rich fromage blanc. The subtle, mild (even more mild than yogurt) taste of fromage blanc makes it an excellent spread for crackers and bread or as a dip for veggies and fruits. Comes with 4 direct-set starter cultures for making your own fromage blanc. The direct-set cultures are one-time-use only and cannot be recultured. These easy to use cultures require no maintenance or care and culture at room temperature (72-77 F), simply store in your freezer until ready to use.
Use 1 packet of fromage blanc starter with 1-4 quarts of fresh milk. Avoid using ultra-pasteurized or UHT milk.
