This was my first ever homebrew attempt, but the end product tasted great. I ended up fermenting for 2 weeks, with the last week in a secondary. Slow carbed in the kegerator for about 13 days. Initially the beer was very sweet, still tasted great. But after about 3 weeks in the kegerator and about 5 weeks total, the sweetness was tamed and it tasted almost exactly like the real deal. The end product was slightly darker, but still looks great in a glass. I followed the instructions exactly as provided.
