By Dave Miller.
Dave Miller's Homebrewing Guide is a comprehensive book, describing the steps of the brewing process in great detail and also outlining both alternative procedures and the science behind them. The early chapters do outline the homebrewing process and give basic homebrew instructions. The rest of the chapters are a systematic account of the brewer's craft, arranged according to the major steps in the process: wort production, boiling and cooling, fermentation and aging, post-fermentation treatment, evalutation, and troubleshooting. Finally, Miller discusses recipe formulation and provides some sample beer recipes.
