I used to live in Nebraska near the Colorado border, and Cutthroat Porter became one of my all-time favorites the very first time I tried it. I moved to Texas almost two years ago, and have had to do without since O'dell doesn't ship here. I brewed the extract version of this recipe, and it turned out GREAT. It's not exactly the same as the original. It's got the right flavor and color, but the flavors aren't quite as bold as I remember them. That might have to do with the fact that I did the extract, or maybe it doesn't have anything to do with that. In any case, this one is close enough for me, and is *very* drinkable. Will be keeping it in constant rotation.
