Chevre is a soft, creamy spreadable cheese that is traditionally made with goat milk. This is easy to make cheese is a great option for new & experienced cheese makers! Comes with 4 direct-set starter cultures for making your own chevre. The direct-set cultures are one-time-use only and cannot be recultured. These easy to use cultures require no maintenance or care and culture at room temperature (72-77 F), simply store in your freezer ubntil ready to use. Direct-set cultures contain both starter culture and rennet.
Use 1 packet of chevre starter with 1-4 quarts of fresh goat milk. Avoid using ultra-pasteurized or UHT milk.
