All grain brewing can be an intimidating process. There are new procedures to master, new terms to learn, and new pieces of equipment to buy or build. But all grain brewing is like a lot of things: it's easier once you know how to do it, and this video will show you how.
James Spencer, award-winning home brewer and host of the Basic Brewing Radio podcast, teams up with fellow brewer Steve Wilkes in this DVD. James and Steve take you through the stages of all grain brewing from milling the grain to collecting the wort. They'll show you what equipment you need and how to use it. Their assumption is that the viewer already knows how to brew with extracts and is interested in more information about all-grain brewing before plunging into it.
The chapters in the DVD include:
- Mashing: Infusion and Step
- Lautering and Vorlauf
- Sparging: Batch and Continuous
Additionally, this DVD uses non-linear DVD navigation. This approach, for example, allows you to choose between infusion mashing and step mashing. You can chart your own course through the video. And, you can use the chapter list at any time to return to any section that you missed or want to view again.
