I've never tried the original but the clone is excellent. I agree with others, it is a bitter beer but in a really good way. A nice sweet taste for a fairly strong beer. Excellent flavor. Conditioned in keg 2 weeks now and gets better with each sample.

I also dry hopped mine in the secondary as well.

This is kegged right now and looking really good. The color, smell and taste are pretty darn close to the real thing and I haven't even let this age to maturity yet. I live in DE so finding Stone beers can be tough. I figured I'd try to make clones of whatever I cannot get and this one is shaping up to be a beauty. The kit was complete and the directions were simple and easy to follow. That plus the flat rate shipping makes AHS my new go to homebrew shop.

This was my first AHB commercial kit, and it completely exceeded my expectations. This kit is really damn close to the real thing - taste, aroma, appearance - they nailed it! Brewed on 6/23, transferred to the secondary on 7/5, and bottled on 7/15. I double-pitched WLP001. I forced myself to wait the six weeks they suggested before trying, and it was absolutely fantastic. Of the 15 or so batches I've brewed, this has been the most well received brew...even my "tamer" beer friends liked it. Can't wait to try another commercial kit - well done, AHB!

Woo, this is more bitter than I remember but it is good. Good head, nice initial brown sugar taste, and a hop bite finish. After six weeks in the bottle the bitterness is mellowing a bit more. A little more bottle conditioning and it should be just right.
