Foam Control minimize the loss on fermenting beer. It is a vegetable oil-based anti-foam. Proper use to Control Foam does not reduce the head on your finished beer, in fact it can actually increase the head by retaining head-forming proteins that would have been blown off during fermentation.
Vegetable oil is also a known yeast nutrient and will be consumed by the yeast during fermentation.
Usage rate: Use approximately 1 drop per gallon. The amount of anti-foam is a "rule of thumb". The actual amount needed is determined by the brewing system used and the type of beer being brewed. Higher O.G. beers will take more, and lower O.G. beers will take less.
