This is one fantastic golden Belgium ale. It is the best beer I have ever made and I have made a lot of them. I liked it so much that I made the same recipe again on my own, but used the New Chech Saaz hops that Austin Homebrew now has for sale. It turned out great too. Try it you will like it. Brewster J

Made the mini-mash, and it didn't work out so well. It didn't taste like Leffe, and wasn't true to the style IMO. It is a good beer, but wasn't what I was looking for.

I owe AHS an appology for my previous reviews of this beer. This was one of my first brews, and I didn't realize that a big beer like this needs to age. I saved (4) 22 oz bottles, and they're around 10 months old now. They are now extremely good, and very true to the style. I wouldn't mistake them for Leffe, but I would say it is every bit as good as Leffe...also the aroma is spot on. This is definately a very good Belgian/Abbey style Blonde.

I did the mini-mash and have to agree with Gregg E on this one. Leffe blond is my favorite beer and this clone does not taste like Leffe @ all. Don't get me wrong, this was a drinkable beer and it got considerably better with age but a Leffe it's not.
