Add watermelon flavoring to taste

We brewed this beer a long time ago. The watermelon was overpowering. I would suggest adding a little bit of the watermelon flavoring, tasting, adding more, etc instead of dumping the whole 3oz in (like we did). This is probably a good practice for adding any flavoring.

Great Brew

Have gotten a few kits from AHS and this one by far has had the most request to do again. Great beer and look forward to doing it again

By far the worst kit I've brewed. I should have used a very small amount of the watermelon flavoring. It's overpowering. I don't think it's drinkable and that says a lot because I can drink almost anything. How do you give zero stars.

AWESOME

Awesome summer brew. After reading the reviews I only used about 1/4 of the hops, 3/4 of the flavoring and about half the 'boost' Came out with a very smooth and pleasant 5.51 abv. Two weeks in the primary, two more weeks in a secondary carboy, then three weeks in a "corney keg". 14# on my co2 regulator and chilled for 48 hrs. WOW, WOW, WOW! What we got was a slight watermelon aroma (just a teaser) and a slight watermelon taste, (no after taste). Truly amazing.

Classic Review

I didn't use the flavoring. I actually cut up a whole watermelon juiced it and strained it then put in a secondary and racked the beer on top of the juice. Sat for 4 days then cold crashed for 3 days at 35. Kegged the beer had my first drink today. Watermelon smell is present and a slight hint up front. Very light beer.
