Too Sweet, too dark

It's decent beer, but too sweet and too dark for my taste. I was hoping for a "lawnmower" beer, low ABV, crisp taste. Mine came out 3.14% ABV which was OK for my purpose, but the malt was too heavy. Mash temp was 156. OG was 1.040. FG was 1.016.
