Great, Great Beer!

This is the best beer I've made so far! I really love it! Smooth with a nutty and slightly creamy taste. Light enough for hot days, but still has a good body. Left in primary for 3 weeks and straight to bottle. Suppose I could have racked it for a bit more clarity, but not that concerned. 3 weeks in the bottle and it is so ready to drink. I'll do this again for sure!

just moved this to the secondary after 6 days in primary, tasted my specific gravity sample, good, young and green, but should be a good brown ale. I can really taste the malt profile on this one...eagarly awaiting end result, propably just a week in secondary to clear a bit, then bottle it up....will post end results

Initially, my batch turned out undercarbonated (surely my fault), so I stopped drinking them and left the majority of the batch in the cellar. After about six months now of sitting, they seem to be carbonated enough and still offer plenty of flavor. I like that it's a roasty brown and not a sweet brown. I'd recommend it.

Very tasty beer. If you want it a little more creamy and slightly sweeter than Newcastle, try adding a few handfulls of light brown sugar.

Made the all grain version and am really pleased with the results. After 10 days of primary & 7 days of secondary fermentation this appeared to be a good dark ale. Just tasted my first bottle after 3 weeks in the bottle....still a little green, but had a good head and just the right blend of maltiness & hops. I bought this kit because it was cheaper than the AHS 6 malt amber ale...so far I think I prefer the Stormcastle.
