This is a very good beer. The raspberry extract leaves a very prominent 'extract' taste (moreso than a raspberry taste) after 2.5 weeks in bottles, but it is certainly getting better with age. I can't wait to try some more of this in about 2 weeks.

This was my first full boil recipe. I used extract with Wyeast, and made a starter (I make for all my beers). This was my 8th brew and it is the best so far. Instead of the raspberry extract, i substituted 5 lbs. of fresh blackberries that i rinsed several times, then froze. I secondaried the blackberries in a 6 gallon carboy for 2 weeks. And dropped the temp. down in my fermentation fridge to 50 the last 4 days. This gave the beer a deep velvety color. After 2 weeks bottled, the blackberries were very subtle. I waited one more week and the blackberries really come out. Definitely a good beer, and i don't believe this one will last very long at my house. I need to stow away a couple bottle to age and see how they come out. Will definitely brew this again when i move to all-grain.

An excellent wheat beer. Very light raspberry flavor which is what I was looking for. I brewed the mini-mash kit with the Wyeast recommended yeast. It was also my first outdoor brew attempt. Everybody loved it and cleaned me out of bottles in less than a week.

Kegged this batch about 2 weeks ago. I opted to not add the rasberry flavoring, and afterwards, im glad i did. I tried a bit with some of the extract and it wasnt that good to me. The beer by itself is outstanding though. Everyone who has tried it has raved about it. Maybe it is just me, but the raspberry extract gave the beer a sort of medicinal or cough syrup taste.

Great beer! Parents were having some friends over for the weekend so I brought a keg over for them to taste and get their opinion, and I couldn't keep them away from it! Subtle raspberry aftertaste, not too overpowering but definitely there. Will definitely be brewing this one again in the future. Thanks AHS!
