Excellent ESB

Echo of other reviews, an excellent ESB. All grain kit and legged after three weeks in primary you have a perfect ESB. Malty, but not cloying, hop bitterness present and balancing. Have ordered twice already, and will continue brewing this beer.

Fantastic beer! Smooth going down but with a nice hop bite, just enough. I prefer it to the popular Seattle-based beer company version (something I never imagined saying). This one, I was defientely sad to see the last bottle go. This beer peaked for me around 2 months in the bottle; it's worth your patience.

I just finished my keg of ESB and I miss it more than any AHS recipe I've made. I think I'll back off maybe 1/4-1/3 on the hops but this will definitely be my first 10 g. batch, its that good.

Along with another reviewer I like this much better than the most common commercially available ESB. I have tried a few different ESB recipes from other sources, my favorite having quite a bit more hops and malt (perhaps taking it to the upper limitis of the style?) but I love this version too. Just a great first beer of the evening (AND second!)

Did this one and kegged it. It went down great. A buddy & I did a double batch of this and then split it. We fermented at the same temps (same room). The only diff was I did a starter. They both were great, but there was a slight difference.
