This brown strikes a balance between malt sweetness and hop bitterness. It is a darker beer without the expected bitterness. So why is this "evil?" Only the shadow knows.

Specialty malts: English Crystal, chocolate malt
Featured hops: Brewer's Gold, Kent Golding

Very good brown ale

I made the extract version and used the Wyeast 1028. Came out better than I hoped. This is a favorite of everyone that has tried it even people that don't care for dark beers.

Classic Review

Great brown ale. Nice and smooth with good flavor. Made the mini-mash and threw in two vanilla beans into the secondary. Has a nice flavor that really smooths out if you let it warm up a little bit from the fridge.
