Great

I am by no means a master brewer but I can read and follow directions. I followed the recipe for the most part, I usually steep the grains and boil the wort a little extra but not too much and I added Maltodextrin and Alcohol Boost. Of the batches I have brewed this is by far my favorite. I've only brewed darker ales and porters as I prefer those but this is just a darn drinkable and great tasting beer. If you are a Miller Lite fan this is not a beer for you but if you are like me and enjoy beer with more flavor give this a try. I find the beer to NOT have a strong hop presence which I prefer. I live outside the USA and getting brew kits here is expensive and customs can be a bear too. I only ordered one of these along with 3 others. Now, I have to wait a few months for another order but it won't be for just one kit, that's for sure.

very nice

Primaried with alcohol boost for 3 months, two weeks secondary maybe an over kill but definitely smoothed out over time not for the first timer intro to dark beer. But definitely not a disappointment after some aging had it in the keg past conditioning two more weeks and I cant wait for the next glass. Try my friends and enjoy.

Added 1% Alcohol Boost. Also added 2 cups whiskey and one vanilla bean to the secondary fermentation. Left in the secondary for a couple of weeks. Let condition 6-8 weeks in the bottle. One of the best beers we've made.

Played around with this one. Gave it the alcohol boost, and then added two vanilla beans with 1.3 cups of Whiskey. Transfered to keg, and was delightely surprised with the flavor. Vanilla just right, and Whiskey flavor noticable. Will let this one sit for 1 month and then Carbonate. Great taste right out of the primary and crystal clear.
