This is an American-style wheat beer with a smooth apricot finish: a summer favorite.

Specialty malts: white wheat, Carapils®
Featured hops: Perle, Mt. Hood
Other additives: apricot flavoring

Apricot Wheat Summer Brew

Brewed beer as directed, but added 1/2 the Liquid Malt Extract at the beginning and the remaining at 15 min left in boil. Late Additions: 1 Lb DME (Briess Bavarian Wheat), alcohol boost, yeast fuel and reminder of LME wheat extract. OYL-52 DIPA Yeast, starter made with prop starter for 24 hrs prior. OG: 1.070 - aggressive fermentation, used blow off tube. After 3 weeks in bottle, refrigerated and served up well! Sweet on the backside and great summer beer. Thanks AHB, GREAT extract brew!
