Natural Peanut Butter Flavoring - 4 oz

It was the finishing touch to my PB stout. I had PB powder at end of boil but no flavor or aroma until I added the PB flavoring at kegging, great taste and aroma on nitro tapped PB stout.

This was my first time using a flavoring. This product, added to 5 gallons of brew at the secondary, produced a really good smelling beer. The peanut butter flavor is only slight, which is probably right where it should be. In my experiment, I used this flavoring on a reliably good chocolate oatmeal stout recipe. The beer was a bit--confusing. The peanut butter won the aroma, but the finishing hops seemed to overpower the flavoring on the palate. What you smell and what you taste don't seem to jive. I would do it again, but omit the finishing hops and perhaps drop the bittering hops by two units. Good product. Poor experiment. I would advise against using this product against a recipe that calls for finishing hops.
