A great recipe - very similar to tap Boddington's which can be hard to find - much better than the canned 4 pack you can buy that's very expensive - this was my first attempt at a homebrew and turned out great - highly recommended.

Being able to get a "Boddy" at home was why I got into brewing in the first place!! This was one of the first brews I did and my temperature control wasn't very good at all. I was easily +-5, or 10 degrees off the target temp, during the soak. Even though I was bad at that part, it still turned out great!!! I've done 2 kits now and see another one in my future as soon as the keg gets down to half. On the Nitrogen tap and that makes it that much better. Velvety head and beautiful color. I thought it would be a bit cloudier, but its clean and clear. Great Kit!!!

Brewed the extract kit. Definitely has similar qualities to the original but in a side-by-side test, there is definitely something missing. It has the creamy malty flavor, but is missing that earthy "british ale" aftertaste that is common to many imported commercial british ales. Still, a very high quality ale, and worth brewing on its own merits.

Super close in taste to the original. 1 week in keg and its even better. 3 weeks primary. I will be brewing this one again for sure. Nitrous not necessary to enjoy I carbed it to about 10psi and pour from a distance sort of an aggresive pour but its so close to the real deal. Everybody loves a Boddi!

Love this beer. Tastes almost exactly like Boddington's, and it you put it on nitro, it'll feel exactly the same, too. I have brewed this four times, and have a keg going right now. Probably my favorite-my wife, who does not really like beer much will drink this.
