The Muntons Premium line was developed from their original four kits in the early days of English home-brewing. Formulations for this line have purposely not been changed since they were first developed back in the early 1970's: a tremendous heritage and a proven track record. The Muntons Premium line is made entirley from 100% hopped malt extract with no inferior adjuncts such as barley syrup. This is a stout in the Irish tradition: a very dark, hoppy, rich beer of great character that is best when served chilled.

This kit requires an extra 2 pounds of fermentable sugar to reach its optimal flavor and alcohol content. Because our Beer Kit Add Pack is a blend of dry malt extract, malto dextrin, and corn sugar, it will provide the best results, much better than regular granulated table sugar.
