Better Bottle fermentation carboys are:

These carboys are made from a special, scientifically tested, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) copolymer plastic that is non-absorbing, non-porous, and non-wetting (hydrophobic), so it does not carry over flavors from one batch of wine or beer to the next. And it is easy to clean and sanitize. Finally, think about the unthinkable: what happens if a full glass carboy is dropped?
This carboy takes a medium universal stopper, much larger than the stopper that fits glass carboys. To use this bottle as a fermenter, you will need to add a stopper and airlock. See below.
A ported Better Bottle has a hole near the bottom to add the racking adapters and valves. That will make oxygen-free racking and dispensing simple and convenient: no siphoning is necessary. These closures use O-rings to make tighter seals, and they are more easily cleaned and sanitized that conventional stoppers.
To help carry this plastic carboy, consider adding a snap on carboy handle from the menu below.
This is really important. A ported Better Bottle will be useless as a carboy unless the "racking adapter w/highflow valve" option is added to plug the hole. See below to add this necessary item.
