Used the dry malt extract kit. I also used dry yeast(would do liquid for a kolsch next time). It turned out to be a great beer. I liked it in the beginning and really liked it at the end right before it kicked (I keg). Mine turned out a very nice light golden color. I also used the method of adding 2/3ds of the DME at the end of the boil. I would order again if I ever get around to doing a kolsch again. | Comment by Brian B on Thursday 18 November, 2010
I made this last year and it was a surprisingly solid beer. I made one modification of using about half the amount of hops provided. It came out a bit darker than I thought it would but I think that's because I used the liquid extract. | | |
