Comment by Cara F on Monday 22 February, 2010 This one went fast also. A very good bitter that I'm sure would've been better with a little more aging. | Comment by Shelby F on Wednesday 20 May, 2009 This was my first kit from AHS and it turned out great. Had compliments that this was a great example of an ESB and competes with stuff you get in the store. This is one of the favorites I've brewed and would brew again. It's got a nice, firm hop bitterness to it and turned out clean and clear. | Comment by James S on Tuesday 02 September, 2008 A very good beer. It took a while to really get the flavor going, and was very astringent at first. Once the two month mark hit, though, it's been fantastic. | Comment by Bruce G on Friday 18 July, 2008 Did this one and kegged it. It went down great. A buddy & I did a double batch of this and then split it. We fermented at the same temps (same room). The only diff was I did a starter. They both were great, but there was a slight difference. | Comment by Jamie H on Monday 13 August, 2007 Fantastic beer! Smooth going down but with a nice hop bite, just enough. I prefer it to the popular Seattle-based beer company version (something I never imagined saying). This one, I was defientely sad to see the last bottle go. This beer peaked for me around 2 months in the bottle; it's worth your patience. | Comment by Douglas J M on Sunday 29 April, 2007 I just finished my keg of ESB and I miss it more than any AHS recipe I've made. I think I'll back off maybe 1/4-1/3 on the hops but this will definitely be my first 10 g. batch, its that good. | Comment by Michael K on Sunday 17 September, 2006 This beer won the Blue Ribbon in the Inaugural Alama City Cerveza Fest, San Antonio, TX August 2006. | Comment by Nathan S This is a GREAT beer just the way it is...very smooth going down!
