Comment by John T on Saturday 28 August, 2010 My 2nd Kit from here, did the mini mash and followed the instructions. Turned out to be a real good beer. It was real smooth and really strong! I let it age for about a month in the bottles before drinking. Its a great beer for the summer. | Comment by Sheryl G on Saturday 22 May, 2010 This was an awesome beer! I used the alcohol boost, probably should have double pitched due to it being roughly 6% with the boost. It took about 3 weeks to carbonate, and it was amazing. I gave a few bottles to my sister for her and her husband, now they want to pay me to make it for them lol. I will definitely be brewing this again, but I might have to do double batches so it lasts a bit longer:). Thanks AHS | Comment by RICHARD W on Tuesday 04 August, 2009 I made the AG version with the White Labs WLP080 Cream Ale yeast. This was actually my first AG brew. It came out good. I made a starter and did 1 week primary, 2 weeks in secondary and 1 week kegged at 12psi. It is very smooth and goes down well. As with all ales I am sure this will just get better with age.
If you are a lager drinker and don't have the equipment to make lager, this is probably the kit for you. | Comment by Ray B on Wednesday 15 April, 2009 Cream ale has been a favorite of mine ever since my early days with Cooper's kits. This batch was my first foray into kegging. It took a bit to carbonate but once I had it down it was a great beer. Cream Ale always seems easy to go down easy for those new to homebrews. My parents came to visit right after I tapped it and I couldn't keep my father away from the keg. Friends all gave it high marks too. It is excellent as a daily drink; flavorful but not overpowering by any stretch. The hops are well balanced with the body of the beer. I'll be filling another keg with this soon. There is nothing like coming home from work and pouring a pint into a frosty mug on the way in from the garage. | Comment by Joshua G on Monday 08 December, 2008 One of the best beers I've made yet. The creamy aftertaste was great! I will be brewing this one more often. | Comment by Zack F on Friday 03 October, 2008 I brewed this for my wife, thinking that I wouldn't like it much since I'm a hophead.
My wife loved it, I loved it, everyone who tasted it loved it, and it was gone in a week!
This is a simple crowd pleaser that I will be making more of. | Comment by Jesse K on Sunday 21 October, 2007 Awesome! I added 2 tablespoons of vanilla when I kegged it. Great flavor and the subtle vanilla after-taste is outstanding. Non-beer drinkers were asking for more; so it didn't last long. :-( | Comment by claude d on Tuesday 18 September, 2007 Having drank the Morebeer version, lightly malted, this one overwhelmed me with its full body. | Comment by Jeff P A nice easy to drink beer. This would be a good one to serve to first time homebrew drinkers. | | |
