AHS Honey Wheat Ale
Comment by Tim E on Thursday 29 July, 2010
Partial Mash w/recommended dry yeast. 2 weeks primary, 2 weeks secondary, keg'd with 6 weeks of aging. This is a very consistent performer. Great price on a beer that doesn't disappoint. It has a nice wheat flavor, the honey is subtle, but it has a crisp-ness that you'd generally get from a lager or pilsner. AHS has the recipe on point. This brew is a regular in my rotation. Thanks AHS!

After 1 month in the bottle.....All I have to say, is WOW! this stuff is so refreshing, and very balanced...... A very tasty beer, bring this beer over to your Budweiser drinking friends and they will be blown away! A great summer beer, very crisp and refreshing.... I will definitely order this kit again, and again. Summer is coming up guys, and this is the perfect beer for it.

Very tasty beer.....I left mine 10 days in primary, and 8 days in secondary.... I also used the WhiteLabs yeast... very little sediment is left if you leave it long enough in the secondary.... It has the perfect amount of hazyness for a wheat beer... I tasted mine 13days after bottling....it had the "green" tang flavor aftertaste, but thats only because it isnt ready yet....but over all it has great flavor, I can only imagine what it will taste like after 3-4 weeks in the bottle. DELICIOUS! amazing head retention after only 13 days in the bottle.... it leaves perfect glass streaks after every gulp. I definitely recommend this brew. It was my first attempt at brewing, and it was a success.

Kegged this one, and it didn't last too long. I used two different yeast - one vial of American hefe and a vial of Bavarian hefe (I was worried about the first when delivery temps were high). It turned out great!

I added 5lbs of fresh Strawberries to this in the secondary and boy did it come out nice! Excellent flavor and aroma, great kit to add any kind of fruit to.

I really Like this beer. It also makes a great base for wheat based fruit beers.
