I agree completley with the previous comment: BEST BEER EVER! If you like IPA's or are a Hop Head you have GOT to try this recipe. You will NOT be disappointed. There is nothing else I can say about this. B - B - E !!!!!!!!

I fell in love with Stone IPA when I lived in SoCal, so I had to try this one. I can't figure out how close to the original this kit turned out, but this may be the finest homebrew I've ever had the honor of making and pleasure of tasting! Absolutely killer after 3 weeks in bottle and it just gets better. Dare I say it is SO good that you may not want to share with anyone except those that will really, really appreciate it. Well-balanced hop aroma and flavor with malty-goodness backbone, pleasantly bitter. A crisp and very refreshing quaff! I HIGHLY recommend this one! Simply put, it is LIQUID GOLD!

mmmmmm damn good IPA... Everyone that tried it loved it, including my brother who lives in the same town as the Stone Brewing Co.

I, too, have not tried the real Stone IPA, but I was told it is quite similar to that excellent Two-Hearted Ale from Bells Brewing in Kalamazoo. The AHS recipe is excellent, and the outcome was great. Next time, I will fine some to clarify, but the hoppy aroma is very much like the Bells, and the overall taste is really excellent. It's been a decade since I last brewed (moved to winemaking), but this AHS recipe has me hooked on brewing (again). Tim in MO
