Chinook is a high alpha-acid hop with an acceptable aroma profile. It is typically used in American style pale ales, IPAs, stouts, porters, barleywines, and lagers as a bittering hop.

No Alpha Acid listed

Had to change my bier recipe on the fly this weekend when I realized the Chinook hop package had no Alpha Acid % listed. I tossed them in for aroma rather than bittering as intended. Of course this caused a chain reaction for the next two batches I have planned. While I was disappointed, it should be noted that this is the first time this has occurred in the over 10 years I have been buying from Austin.
